Lilacs & Lily of the Valley

Finally, I did some weeding of our flower beds this afternoon. I love the flowers but don't particularly like weedin' 'em =) But they sure look better! I also took a few pictures to share and then picked a bouquet of Lily of the Valley and a bouquet of Lilacs - Mmmm! Our house smells wonderful...

Wow, I bet its looks fantastic, the colour is stunning. As for the weeding, its a nasty job , but it has great rewards!

Hate the weeds too but love the flowers. I think mine are about 2 weeks behind yours. I can't wait to bring them into the house too!

Have a happy weekend and Mother's Day!

I wish lilacs would stay in bloom all summer! Maybe one day they'll come up with a breed like that...(oh, and I kissed Ashy Doodle for ya)

Beautiful! I just uncovered my lily of the valley yesterday (they were totally buried beneath last fall's leaves)! Now I hope they perk up as beautifully as yours!

Ah... Spring. Isn't it wonderful, Debbie. You lilac looks wonderful. Doesn't it smell divine. As for weeding, put on lots & lots of mulch, inches thick, or grow groundcover plants. Hardly any weeds. Better still, ignore them - lol. Have a wonderful Mother's Day my friend. Meggan too.
